One Year Old

Toby turned one on March 1st.....He sure has grown up since we got him at 5 weeks old.
 Then and now
He is still fun to have around and will still cuddle for a minute or two sometimes. He likes to be out and playing on his blanket, but he does really love his cage and can't wait to get back in there. He now jumps out of our arms and runs across the couch and jumps into his cage all on his own. Funny bunny.  Happy Birthday Toby...we are glad you are a part of our family. Even Duke likes you!

Off to Finland

We went to Kristie's farewell on Sunday. She was suppose to have it on the 22nd, but all of church was cancelled in the Springs due to the snow, so she gave her talk before all the testimonies yesterday.  She did a great job and she will be a great missionary. She is heading to the MTC this Wednesday and then on to Finland in May. It is one of the coldest missions and one of the hardest languages to learn so she will have some interesting stories to tell for sure.

Afterwards, we headed to their house for lunch and visiting. And of course, pictures.
Good luck Kristie....

Massive Snowstorm

So starting around Feb 20th, the snow started to fall and it kept falling and falling. And piling up higher and higher. The first weekend we got 9 inches. They cancelled church that Sunday!

That whole last week of February for school was iffy. Monday was a Snow Day, Tuesday was a 2hr delay, Wednesday was a normal day, but Thursday and Friday were both 2hr delays as well. It has been very chilly too of course and so it has been a lot of red cheeks and runny noses as we shovel the driveways almost every day. The sun finally came out one day and it actually started to melt the sidewalks as we were shoveling.
The girls have had some fun playing in the snow, both day and nighttime.
And Duke too of course.....
There was a break in the storms and here in Colorado when the sun comes out things really start to melt. But here was a great picture I got of Pikes Peak while out running errands.
The wind blew with this storm as it seems to always do here, but it made some interesting formations on the house. A week and a half later, they are still there and the one over the porch is just waiting to fall on some unexpected visitor...haha
Winter in Colorado is always interesting. Keeps us on our toes that's for sure.

Go Cougars

The one thing that I never did while I was at BYU was go to as many sporting events that I could. Yea I went to all the football games but that is pretty much where it stopped. I don't know why I didn't, but boo on me. But Megan has gone to everyone one that she could....soccer, VB, BB, FB...you name it. And that is awesome!!!! They have what they call a ROC pass nowadays that you buy it and it gets you in to all the events available. And if you go early enough, you can sit in the special ROC section.

Megan went to a Men's Volleyball game the end of February and go in the ROC section with a couple of her friends. She let me know so of course that was another good reason to watch the game on TV.
see her right below the S in RISE UP.....denim shirt with her Y shirt underneath
Couldn't help but snap a few pictures on the big screen. Of course the one time I put my camera down, she got her closeup. It was awesome to see her having a good time.
And yes, the Cougars kicked em in 3 sets.  Way to go boys!
