We are lucky to live close to the OTC....the Olympic Training Center. The best part....it's free! We love going, although we tend to forget it is there and so some years go by without us going for a visit. HOWEVER.....we always go during the Olympics. (so I guess we go every 2 years...heehee) I don't know....call it the Olympic Spirit....but we really get a hankering to go after watching the sports on TV. It really isn't the best time to go because there are usually not any athletes practicing.....cuz they are all at the Olympics!....duh!
But we still love it...and with President's Day off of school, we grabbed some friends and went. It was a lot of fun and a really gorgeous day to be outside too. We took the tour and actually saw some swimmers swimming laps and some athletes lifting weights. I opted out of carrying around my camera so thank goodness that others have good smart phones to take pix on!
There is also a mini torch....which is always lit during the Olympics. So we headed up to see that and hang out.
On the way out, we took pictures at the Rings and had some fun imitating the statues too.
We went and got some lunch to finish out the day. It was a bunch of fun for sure. Love our friends! Love Colorado! Love the Olympics!
