Arizona Fun!

It was fun to be back in Arizona.....it has been way too long.  It was fun to be with my family and play.  Once the wedding was over, then it was time for some fun.  My sister has an exchange student living with her from Germany...her name is Lila.  This is like the 5th one they have had over the years, but the only one I have met other than their first girl from Japan.  So it was fun to get to know her this week too.

We watched the twins in their band competition......
Emily                     Isabella
(Got them both in the same pix)
It was so hot, but we were grateful that it was only in the low 90's instead of the mid 100's.  Emily twirled great and Isabella and Lila played wonderfully.  Their band won several awards so they were pretty happy about that.

We ended up going over to Joey and Jenny's community pool to swim......

We had a blast with all the little kids.  Charlotte has no fear...

Afterwards, we head over to the pizza place for some grub!
What a great time we had...we were sorry that the twins and my sister couldn't make it.

My brother happened to be in town this week too, so we got to spend time with him.  We went out to lunch for green chili of course (his favorite) and back to his hotel for some time at the pool.  We were the only ones there at that pool (there were like 6 other pools at this resort) and we had a grand time!

Of course, we swam in my sister's pool too......

We love museums, so of course, we wanted to go to the Science Museum in downtown Phoenix.....the twins were already back in school so we had to go without them and they were bummed.

We played in the Legos room a long time...we had so much fun building things....
Here are all our creations...J the house, K the little house, M the boat and I did the cool car

Bed of nails.....

The most fun ever was in the digital room where we could "warp" our faces.  We laughed so hard and even went back for a second time......

Bowling was fun too....

We got to see the Gilbert Temple too.  Still putting in the stain glass windows, but the trees are in.  They say another year maybe?  We were able to get a piece of the stone walls.....reminds me of a Mayan Temple......

And we got to see some old friends.....
They lived in our ward and he was even our bishop for a minute.  They were our game playing buddies.  We love them and had such a good time with their family hanging out and making the kids go crazy!

We had a blast on vacation.  Still another post to come about our fabulous time in the mansion!  Here's a preview.....
