Two Two...What a Ride!

My hubby and I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary on Friday......it is hard to believe it has been that long ago that we tied the knot.  And to think we have actually known each other for 31 years is just plain crazy.  But man have we had a fun time......not all fuzzy hearts and slippers......but we have managed to get through it all TOGETHER....thank goodness.  I still wish he was a neurosurgeon, but I love him being my partner and companion through this thing called life.

We had a great time celebrating at
We have been to a fondue place before, just not to this place.  So it was fun to try something new and it was good.  Nice and romantic, even though we noticed that there were tiny alcoves with curtains covering the door that would have been extra private.  We dined on yummy spinach and artichoke cheese fondue to start out with a cesaer salad as well.
Then came the Filet Mignon, sirloin, chicken, and lobster tail with way too many dipping sauces to count.
And of course, we can't forget dessert....white chocolate fondue with bananas and cinnamon mixed together.  By that time, we were so full that we couldn't finish all the yummy things to dip......cheesecake, brownie, rice krispy treats, strawberries, bananas......what a shame.
It is amazing that it takes 2 1/2 hours to eat dinner, but it was nice to just be the two of us.
Add a bouquet of flowers, a Jim Brickman CD, a box of candy and a balloon, and a new digital picture frame (to replace the one that doesn't work anymore) and you can call it a great day.
* nice moon and a distant thunderstorm with gorgeous color for the ride home*

But wait.....there is more!  I told my sweetie that I wanted to go to the temple with him as part of our celebration, so off we went to Denver the next day to take in a session.  It is always so wonderful to be there together. It was very busy as it was the last day before a shutdown for major remodeling.  There were 22 sealings that day.....we agree it is a good time to get married.  It was fun to see all the brides in their beautiful dresses.  It brought back some great memories for us watching all the hustle and bustle of the wedding parties and the photographers.  Can I go back and repeat my day?  That would be so fun.  It was a gorgeous day to be married for sure.

Afterwards, we headed for some more playtime just the two of us.......  IKEA!  Yes, it finally opened a couple of weeks ago and I have been dieing to go.  No more having to wait til I go to Utah...Hurray!  It was way crowded but it was still great.  We ate yummy Swedish Meatballs (free) and the yummiest chocolate cake ever for lunch.  Then it was off to shop for an end table to go in my living room....I need a place to put my new digital frame after all.

Then it was to the Outlets stores for some more shopping.  OK, so we just stopped to get my hubby some well deserved dress shirts at Van Heusen.  We had plans for later on, so we didn't do any more than that.  I know I can hear you all saying....WHAT?  I know, I love those stores, but we needed to get home.  After all, we had been gone all day.  And when K called and asked when we were coming home cuz she missed me, I melted and we had to get going.  (As soon as we pulled in the garage she ran right out and jumped in my arms.....oh how I love my kids)

We ended the day with a night full of games and laughter with some friends.  What a great couple of days we had celebrating our life together.  I sure love my hubby and children.  Thanks honey for making this weekend a fabulous good time.  You are the best!!!!  Here is to 22 more years together!

It doesn't matter where you go in life or what you do .. its who you have beside you that makes the difference.

You have made my day, reading what you did for 2 days to Celebrate your life together. It brought tears of joy to my eyes.

I love and adore you. Mom
