It was a bit sad as I realized that this would probably be T's last Christmas unwrapping his ornaments to place on our family tree. The last time that this fleet of planes will grace the branches in this house.....
Actually I am sure that we will put a few on the next 2 years while he is on his mission...but then they are his to take with him for HIS tree. *SIGH*
We decided to get out the Santa Marching Band this year.....it has been years and I decided that this year it was going under the tree and we were going to enjoy it. (I have struggled to find a place that would work best)
I have always wanted to decorate my banister, but didn't know how to do it with kids and them liking to slide their hands when they come down the stairs....not to mention the dog loving to play ball on the stairs. But this year I found this fabulous idea on Pinterest and finally got around to do it. I love the way it turned out and so far......no broken bulbs.
Now, on to filling up the space under the tree.....wrapping is next as I have most of my Christmas shopping done! (Hurray)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I have such precious memories of decorating the home for Christmas, both as a child and as a mother. All the traditions you have created with your husband will go will carry on in your children's lives. I can hear them now, "When I was a child my mother used to ..." What a happy thought!
YOur house is so beautiful all decorated with he lights. You guys did a fabulous job.
Memories are being made every day by you ... a loving Mother whom I adore.
