First....there was Girl's Camp! I was thankful that it wasn't the very week after school was out this year. Too much was going on with T's graduation and having my parents here. This was M's first year as a YCL and she was so excited to get to sleep in the rafters with the other youth leaders and pretty much run the camp. J was excited to go and just be with friends. It was for the whole week this year instead of just 4 days so that was different.
It was a very interesting time I hear with all the bears and drama, but they both came back with smiles on their faces so I am sure they had a good time.
K and I had a great time hanging out with each other since T and hubby were at work all day....it really was a Just Mommy and Me type of week. I know I had a blast with that sweet little girl, I hope she had just as much fun too.
The best day was when we went walking around Rock Ledge Ranch......
....and laying in the shade of the trees at Glen Eyring Castle.....it was a very hot day.
We also got T to go to the zoo with us one day...K was thrilled to get to spend some time with just T
It was a great week, but I was so excited to see the girls after camp. I always love when this mother hen has all her little chicks at home!
The next week was spent getting everything done so we could go on our looooong vacation. I had tons of RS and other church things to get accomplished before I left for 3 weeks. But I was able to take an evening and go to Denver. I met a longtime friend for dinner and we chatted forever before I headed over to my photo class that I bought for myself for my birthday. It was a nice relaxing and informative evening.
I can feel already after only these first 3 weeks of summer that it is going way too fast. Sometimes I wish we had more than 2 months of summer.
