Early Bird

I wish I liked to wake up early in the morning, but I don't. That doesn't stop me from doing so since I am up every morning at 4:45. To be honest, my alarm goes off at that time only to make sure T is up and getting ready for seminary. Then I re-set it and go back to bed for 2 hours. I should just get up and exercise or something productive, but isn't sleeping good for you too?

Being up before the sun rises has its advantages, one being picture moments. Most generally I don't think to get my camera (or I don't have it near by) even though I think to myself what a great picture that would be. But the other morning as I was letting the dog out, I happened to look at Pikes Peak and saw the moon sitting right above the peak. What a great shot. The camera doesn't do it justice. I was glad that I got it when I did because only 2 minutes later as I was driving T to school since he was late, it was half way behind the mountain already. Again, why did I not have my camera. I need to keep an extra one in the car I guess. That one would have been a good one too.

What a cool picture! Isn't it fun how it feels as if you have the whole world to yourself when you're up like that? You should post more photos...I like the ones you have on your blog!

Beautiful picture! Thanks for sharing. Those of us who don't get to see mountains are really appreciative. :)

Wow-this is a great shot. There are so many peaceful moments when the world is sleeping aren't there?
