Rainy Monday

Have you heard that song, "Rainy Monday" by Shiny Toy Guns. It actually has a really good beat, but it seems to be right on week after week. Yes, it rains other days too, but Monday nights seems to be the night for lightning storms. Did you see the one tonight? It was going crazy out there. Well, we didn't go chase it like we did last week because we had a perfect view from our home.

We first started watching it out front and then noticed that most of the brightness was coming from behind the house. By that time it was really windy and had started to rain, so we moved inside to my bedroom window. I must admit, that was the best spot to see all over-east and west. So of course, out comes the camera and I finally got the shot I was waiting for. It only took me a couple hundred shots to get it, but I actually got a few other good ones, too. Can't wait for next Monday night!
You can't beat a lightning storm on a summer evening.




I also had to post this pretty picture of a rainbow that K took a few days ago. She was so excited to see it because it went all the way around she said. I thought it was a great picture for a 7 year old.
