I Wish......

.......I could get paid for what I do! - I would be a rich woman!

I seem to always be busy these days.  I know everyone feels this way so I am not alone when I say...."I'M TIRED!!"  And this time of year is much busier since it is nearing the end of school and everything has to be done before summer, i.e. school plays, band concerts, field days, big school projects, award ceremonies, field trips, school parties and so on.

Let me tell you my week........
     ~3 track meets for 2 different kids
     ~track practice every day for 2 kids
     ~5 volleyball games plus one practice (and of course, it overlaps with a track meet)
     ~Running Club for 2 kids
     ~3 Drama practices
     ~YM/YW (on different nights this week)
     ~doc appointment (K sure is growing up - 95% for her height-who does she get that from?)
     ~field trip (had to cancel to go to a funeral)
     ~weekly volunteering at school
     ~weekly babysitting
     ~carpool
     ~van maintenance appt.
     ~visiting teachers (guess I better get mine done too)
     ~feed the missionaries
     ~school function (another conflict, of course)
     ~church dance (thank goodness T drives so I don't have too anymore)
     ~assembly at the high school (T got his Letter!)
     ~hours on computer and phone getting fundraiser together
     ~exercise (aren't I getting enough with all my running around?)

PHEW!!  (What will next week bring?)

WAIT...add in the Boy Scout Aeration Rundraiser I was in charge of Friday and all day Saturday and a funeral this week and there you have it--tired yet?  I am but that seems to be a typical week for me these days.  I love being busy and being with my kids, but I sure like it when it is calm and quiet.  My son had a Foods project to do, so while we were in the kitchen one day this week, he asked if we had anything going on tonight.  After much thought I said no and we were both shocked that we could actually sit at home and veg.  Ah the little things!

Who ever says being a mom is not work is smokin something!
