My mom is the best ever!!
So there---end of story! Ok, maybe not the end of the story. I could go on and on about all the great things she did for me in the past and still does for me today. I could tell you all that I consider her a friend as well and even thought that way in high school. I could tell you of all the ways she supported me in my activities and has always been my best cheerleader. I could tell you how I love to go "home" and be pampered by my mother. I could tell you of all the things that she has taught me over the years and the good example she has been to me. I could tell you how much I love her and admire her. I could tell you all those things and more, but I don't need to....cuz those that know my mom, know this and those that don't, are probably not surprised cuz they know me well and they feel the same way about theirown moms. And the other reason I don't need to tell you this is because the one person that needs to know this, does!
Happy Mother's Day Mom
Now for me-I had a great Mother's Day just for the sheer fact that I got to spend it with my family. Not having to cook dinner and do the dishes was a big plus too. J made me some toast and had it waiting for me when I came downstairs so that was nice. K kept asking all morning when we were going to open gifts and was quite disappointed to find out that it would be after dinner. Speaking of dinner----YUMMY! My family cooked up some Tony Roma ribs--lots of ribs. There was potato salad, green beans, fruit and rolls. It was very good and we were all smeared with BBQ sauce by the time we were finished. And there was some leftovers, so I plan to have a good lunch tomorrow. Finally K was able to give me my gift she made at school--a flower pot with flower pens she made. Very cute. Then she gave me a box full of things she had been making the last week--hug and kiss coupons, pictures, heart cutouts....J gave me some papers that she had worked on in school including coupons and some flower pens she made in church. I think I am set with pretty pens for awhile. The little girls also gave me some flowers they had collected at the park. They are so sweet. My hubby had some tulips delivered to me a few days earlier with some chocolates and we had gone out to the movies the night before eating Coldstone ice cream and pigging out on popcorn. It was exactly what I needed this year. Thanks honey! We finished off the night watching Jaws and the finale of the Amazing Race. (Yes even the little girls watched Jaws and yes, I know I have probably corrupted them for life and scared them to death to go in the ocean) It was a great day. Thanks family--you are the best!!

Sounds like it was a good day! I still have my flower pot of pens...love it! ;) Glad you were able to relax...you deserve it! :)
Thanks Melanie for your love... you make me proud to be your Mother. You are making many memories for your own children with all the things you do for them and WITH them.
Keep up the good work ... Oh yes,
thanks for the tulips.
