J turned 11 while we were in Utah this year and I almost think she would consider this one of the best birthdays ever. She did more on this birthday than I think we have ever done. But then again, Grandpa isn't around on her birthday every year and he spoiled her that day. And she had her cousins in town and so she had extra fun with them.
First off, she requested eggs and bacon for breakfast, so she got her wish on that. Then she wanted to go to Cowabunga Bay which is a new waterpark that looks absolutely fun, but since it was a dreary day, we thought it might be too cold. So to celebrate we headed to Boondock's for the day. Her bday happened to fall on a Tuesday when they had an all day special with unlimited everything, but it also decided to rain that day too. But she wanted to do it anyway, so the first thing they did was play mini golf as it rained. It really only was a sprinkle, so it was still fun. They also did the go-karts, bumper boats, laser tag, arcade games, and 3D movies.
We left to go to dinner at the place of her choice which was the "Mayan". She loves that place mostly because of the atmosphere I think. We sat next to the waterfall and was able to see the divers. The best part for the kids is the big concrete snake out in front. They love to climb on it, get in it's mouth and just be goofy.
Afterwards, we headed back to Boondocks to close up the park and then back to Grandma's for cake and ice cream, and presents of course.
The only thing I think she would say that was bad about this day was the cake. The lady at the store said it was a white cake but it was chocolate. That was fine with me, but J hates chocolate cake and so she didn't eat a piece. Thank goodness the cookies and cream ice cream was a hit--it is her favorite.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY J!!!

Happy Birthday!! Looks like she had a great day!
Cool lookin' cake! Looks like a fun day! I can't believe she's 11. We need to figure out how to get these kids to stop growing. I'd like to freeze everyone of my kids right now!
Happy Birthday J!
