Father's Day 2011

I just realized that I have not posted about Father's Day yet......what a busy month June was and it was suppose to be slow and relaxing.  Anyway......

I think my hubby had a great Father's Day.  He got to take a nap, eat delicious steak, get presents, and be with his family.....I know that all made him happy.

*this back scratcher was the highlight for EVERYONE, even Duke.  My hubby was actually the last one to use it....and it was an impromtu gift....love it!*

This year, I was able to spend some time with my dad close to Father's Day.  I hardly ever get to be with him on that day since I have been married, so I was happy to get to celebrate with him 3 days before the actual day.  It would have been nice to get to be with him on that day, but I wanted my girls to be with their dad that day....so as a mother usually does, I sacrificed for them.  OK, so I wanted to be with my hubby too.....

The girls made cards and pictures for their grandpa.....we got him a 6-pack of rootbeer to let him know he was an A&Wsome grandpa (my hubby got one too as this is what they handed out in church) and M had written a paper on him for a school class and we gave him a copy of it.

We had a great time in Utah with my parents...thanks for putting up with us. We still think you need to move closer so we can see you more than a couple times a year.
