The normal 4th of July fanfare includes my hubby working until late afternoon, then a BBQ. Sometimes with friends or neighbors but sometimes just our family.....like this year. Then it is lighting off our own fireworks out front and heading over to watch the big show at the Sky Sox Stadium. Simple....but fun. This year, I stopped in Wyoming on my way home from Utah and bought some "really fun" fireworks for the first time ever. Of course, we had the snappers and the ground blooms and sparklers, but had to get some of the big stuff too and the boys loved them....ok, we all loved em. We were glad the police decided to stay away.
*T showing us the big guns!!!*
Duke had to stay inside as we did our fireworks cuz he kept barking and running over to the rockets to try and bite them....what a dumb dog. So here he is watching us from inside and whining the whole time.
The ballgame went late this year....past 11:00, but what a show. We tried a new spot this year and have decided that it is by far the best place to watch from, so we will be going there from now on.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Matt used to drive to Wyoming from Utah when we lived there to get those "really fun fireworks". He loved them! Our last year in CO we went above the stadium and watched the fireworks, it was a lot of fun!
