Chopped!

For Activity Days in February, they did a version of the TV show, CHOPPED. I have never seen it but the girls were so excited for it.....it was a Mom and Daughter activity.  Of course, it fell on M's birthday which also meant there was the last basketball game of the season at Falcon and so it was a busy night to get it all in.

But K and I made it in time for the start of her activity, getting to watch all of M's game beforehand.  The activity was super fun.  We were all suppose to bring an item for each of the baskets.  It was to be the same item so that everyone ended up with all the same items as each other.  We brought applesauce, but in our basket was also eggs, pasta, mushrooms, chicken nuggets, peas.  Quite the interesting combination.

We were divided into groups of 3 girls and their moms....one mom was to host the group at their house and we only had a set amount of time to get a meal cooked with every ingredient that we had in our basket.  We could use more items if we wanted to.  We only had 30 minutes.  And then we had to meet back at the leaders home to plate it and get it judged.  We worked like crazy and the girls really did a great job doing most of it.
Once back, we had 3 young men as the judges and they picked.....
OUR GROUP!   It was so exciting that we won.  They said that the applesauce muffin was the clincher!  Hurray for us!
It was a fun activity, but we were anxious to get back home to celebrate M's birthday.
