Sport #3

March is here already!  The one advantage for M playing 3 sports in a school year is that when track rolls around I only have to pay $5 for her to play!  That is huge when you factor in that every sport is $85.  OK, so there is another advantage....we are finally outdoors again after 3 months of being in a gym.  The only thing is the weather in Colorado is so unpredictable.  The last 3 Saturdays we were suppose to have meets...however 2 of them have been cancelled due to snowy weather.  So we have had one track meet....it was down in Pueblo....and it was so cold.  There was no snow on the ground, but the wind was blowing just enough to make it cold.  The sun was out occasionally, enough to get a sunburn on my nose beneath the hoodie on the head and wrapped in a blanket.

But she did fairly well for a first meet.  She threw discus first and came up 9th with a throw of 92.12.  That got her into the finals where she ended up....9th!  Good job M....and good for ONE point.

Then came Shot Put and by this time we were all so tired of the cold and wind and so very hungry.  This is also when we discovered that my hubby had forgotten his wallet at home and no one else had money.  So we were going to have to wait until we got back into the Springs to get anything to eat.  ICK!  Anyway, she did not throw well enough to qualify for the finals, but she will get better.....every year she improves and so this year will be no different.

We were glad when it was finally over and we could get warm in the car and gt something to eat.  Granted it wasn't until around 3:30 before we got home and we were starving.  Decided we needed somewhere that had a lot of food....so CiCi's was it and we chowed!  And then we couldn't eat the rest of the night.  Gotta love the cinnamon rolls.
