Ok, so winter is just around the corner and that means no more camping, hiking or fishing for awhile. So the boys decided that because this last weekend was suppose to be such nice weather, they would get in one more day of fishing. So they left bright and early Saturday morning and headed to the lake. Us girls stayed behind to sleep in (we have our priorities straight), go to the Primary program practice and carve pumpkins. They came home with only 3 fish, but they were a nice size and sure tasted good for Sunday dinner. And they had a great time---you know that "guy bonding" sort of stuff.
One fish was still alive when they got home and we all thought that was cool.....even Duke. We let him get a lick in. K had the most fun and had her daddy fill up the sink so it could swim around. She had a blast playing with it and helped gut and clean it.
Another fish happened to be a girl......we know this from the belly full of eggs she had when my hubby cut her open. K thought that was amazing and wanted to hold them. She wanted to know if she could keep one egg and put it in her room. Ummmmm....NO!!!!!! We laughed and wondered if they would taste anything like the fancy caviar you can buy. Could we sell them on Ebay?
