The day after dropping T at the MTC, we went up to Brigham City to the temple open house. It had just started doing the tours 5 days earlier so we wanted to get to it since we were so close. We wished T could have been there with us, but there was no time to squeeze it in. But my parents were able to go with us. And we seemed to pick the hottest day to go....95 degrees. We went in the afternoon so it was in the heat of the day, but we were happy we got to go.
It is a very small temple, but very pretty.....it stands out from the freeway for sure. We entered in from the underground garage area...never seen that before having a 2nd entrance as the main entrance was around to the front of the building and up a floor. But that is where the baptistry was and so it made sense.
Afterwards, we went around the grounds taking pictures.....
And then off to Maddox for dinner. I have never been but that place holds a special place in my parents hearts....it was the site of their first date! They go back every year for their anniversary to celebrate. So it was fun to go and see it for the first time. Very good food.....LOTS of food....had to roll us out we were so stuffed.
The next day we left for home.....feeling like we left a man behind. Wait, we did! Still hard to believe and also feeling not quite whole.
